Cell phone recycling is one way you can help the environment

Are you in the market for a new cell phone? That’s great! But what are you planning to do with your old cell phone? Often times those old phones and batteries sit around in a drawer, untouched – wasted.

The CellPhone Doctor has a better idea – repair, sell, or recycle that old phone. We can help with all three options. We can repair any model of cell phone and we pay cash for used cell phones. Plus we have a recycling drop box if you choose not to keep or sell our old phone.

Did you know…

When you recycle your cell phone, you are helping the environment in a number of ways. Recycling conserves the energy needed to obtain the raw materials used to construct a new product. That also cuts down on the amount of raw materials needed for construction. And it keeps reusable materials, as well as hazardous products, from being dumped into landfills.

Prior to recycling your cell phone or electronic gadget, The CellPhone Doctor recommends the following:

1)Be sure to have your service terminated.
2)Clear the phone’s memory of contacts and any other stored information.
3)Remove your SIM card and shred or cut it in half.

Recycling is such a simple and important way to improve the environment, that the EPA offers a recycling program called Plug-In to eCycling to encourage recycling your cell phone and other electronic devices. Check out their website to learn more.

The CellPhone Doctor is here to help when you’re ready for a new cell phone. Whether you choose to recycle, repair, or sell your old cell phone, it’s always better than throwing it away. That’s just a waste – potentially a hazardous waste. Make the better choice and bring our old cell phone to The CellPhone Doctor.
