Congress gets paid/Military does not!

FYI: "...active-duty members of the military, will be required to report to work without a salary until the government goes back to regular operations. " Not only that, the House and Senate have to approve the back pay when Congress gets t...heir act together, and this back pay is NOT GUARANTEED. We are talking about our military, which is comprised of our fathers, mothers, sisters, brothers, sons & daughters. Including my son! No one should be allowed to play with their lives like that, like petty gods. And, those military who have been deployed cannot do anything about it. No working out credit arrangements, house payments, etc. They know first hand that Congress does not care about them. Obamacare is law and cannot be defunded (if that is even a word), so this is just a sandbox fight with children acting like 2 year olds.

Does BlackBerry Have a Future?

As you may have heard, BlackBerry is having financial issues.  They are "letting go of" 4500 employees.  They are looking for someone to buy them out and keep the brand available.  Now, T-Mobile is going to drop them from their stores.  T-Mobile says it is because only companies buy that particular cell phone.  As well sell a number of BlackBerrys through our eBay site, I've noticed more individuals buy them than companies.  I'm not counting, just taking mental inventory.  The BlackBerry cell phone is well made, easy to use, and can be dropped in your purse without it dialing 911.  I would like to see them make it as a company, but not if the bottom line is going to be totally dependent on how many employees are being told they can no longer be afforded.

Todays Einstein's and Galileo's

One thing about this generation, no idea is impossible.  They watch a movie, play a game and decide to develop a product based on those imagined adventures.  Turn the imagined into the present/near future.  I am impressed!  If the youth of today, this generation, would put their heads together, they would be able to come up with a workable solution for world peace.  Never doubt it for a second.

Organize Your Life!

Disa now has an Android app being beta tested to help you organize your phone. Get your photos, texts, videos sorted out in one fast, easy to use app. I would like to be able to find that one photo I'm looking for quickly. Maybe not all ...my text messages, but, at least the last few, would come in handy to be able to find ASAP. Check it out. So far, with the beta testers, this is the answer to many of your organizational needs. A cell phone is no longer just a cell phone. In some cases, it is your entire life.

Want to be a billionaire?

Someone decided to check out what billionaires have in common so that, maybe, the rest of us could become billionaires.  I was definitely interested.  The whole Powerball thing has NOT been working for me.

In Memory of 9/11/2001

On 9/11/2001, I was at home asleep.  I was supposed to make sure my son got to the airport that day to report for duty in South Korea.  A friend of his called waking me up.  He told us to turn on the TV.  A big accident had happened in New York.  We were hearing about this horrible incident when we watched (and, I mean watched) the second airplane hit the second tower.  Unashamedly, we cried.  Both of us knew this was NOT an accident but an act of terror.  While still sitting there, we watched an airplane in Washington, DC, make a sharp right turn and crash into the Pentagon.  And, on top of that, on the same day, we heard about Pennsylvania.  I called my mother to let her know we were at war (she didn't watch TV in the mornings).  All planes were grounded, so my son HAD to stay home for my birthday later that week.  I would much rather he had just called me from South Korea.

Where were you on 9/11?  What were you doing?  12 years later, I still cry.

Monsieur, a drink please.

Man, do we have their priorities straight or what?  A new bartender - the Monsieur robotic bartender will make your mixed drinks.  On the plus side, it won't listen to you go on and on about your personal affairs like your regular bartender does.  This new bartender, though, will make sure the measurements are absolutely correct and will not water down the liquor.  I'm going to assume you handle your own garnishments and those drinks in the pineapple (usually Mai Tai's), will now be prepared for you in a glass.  But, hey, a Mai Tai is good no matter how you drink it.

The New iPhone 5S is Out!

I know everyone missed me while I went on vacation. While gone, I didn't win the lottery, so need my check to pay those bills. Just checked out the new iPhone 5S. (I want the gold one.) The new iPhone 5S has a fingerprint scanner along ...with a 64-bit chip. WOW! Check it out. And, while you are thinking of how to pay for that new iPhone, sell us your phone to help defray the cost.
