Kentucky Derby 2014

Thunder Over Louisville starts off our month long Kentucky Derby season here in Louisville.  We have the most amazing fireworks after viewing the most amazing aerial shows.  That included the Blue Angels this year.  Tomorrow, it is the Balloon Race.  Seeing some of those balloons in the air first thing in the morning - well, the first time, I had to pull over so I wouldn't wreck.  Next week is Derby.  Hats and stars and horses.  Beautifully fast horses.

Now, for the ladies out there, the Samsung Galaxy S V is coming out with a Swarovski crystal edition. For all my family members, and you know who you are, this would make a truly enviable birthday present. The Galaxy S V is a beautifully made phone. Adding the crystals sends it into sparkles-ville. I believe this crystal beauty is due out in May sometime.

LG G Watch - Stealth Black or Champagne Gold?

Frank Lloyd Wright Tower

Frank Lloyd Wright was one of the most creative geniuses of his time.  He had a vision that he incorporated into his buildings.  They had to be sleek, comfortable and fit in with its surroundings.  Nothing gothic, as per the times.  SC Johnson in Racine, WI, had a tower built for their research.  They claim the creativity of that tower increased the creativity of their research.  Within the decade, they came up with their 4 top best sellers - Raid, Glade, Pledge and Off!  If you get a chance to see any of Mr. Wright's homes/buildings, you should take the time to do so.

Boston Strong! American Proud!

I do not, personally, run in marathons.  I do admire those people that can and do.  But, today, I am especially proud of those returning to the Boston Marathon.  It's not an easy decision to make.  It must make some of the marathoners from last year a bit twitchy.  But, I am proud to be an American.  And, today, my pride is expansive!

The New HTC One - the M8

On the radio this morning, I heard someone going on and on about how wonderful the new HTC One (M8) is and how it is the one smartphone out there that rivals them all.  So, I thought I would check out some of the reviews.  This one was the most in-depth and the least over the top, and he thinks this is the best new smartphone out there.  So, while you check out getting the new HTC One, remember, we want to buy your old one.

Amazon's 3D Smartphone

Is the next big gadget the 3D smartphone?  Knowing Amazon's abilities to corner a market, I'm thinking the answer is a big "YES."  And, knowing Amazon, the price will be reasonable.  What do you think about a 3D smartphone?  Is this something you would want to try out?  How will it work with games?

Nanotechnology - the 60 second smart phone charger!

An Israeli firm has invented the 60-second smart phone charger.  Yep, 0% to 100% in 60 seconds.  They plan on putting this item into production in 2016, so don't start hunting for it just yet.  This charger will use nano dot technology.  This is truly exciting news for all of us who "forget" to charge the phone and realize it's dead right in the middle of playing Candy Crush!

BEST - Samsung Galaxy S V

Samsung has done it again!  They are the best!  I thought my Kindle was all I needed for impulse buys.  Mind you, most of those buys are e-books as I am an avid reader (avid may be too mild a word).  I wasn't just stuck with Amazon for my buys as I can go anywhere on the internet and pay with Pay Pal (my second favorite company).  The Samsung Galaxy S V has incorporated its Fingerprint Sensor with PayPal.  Once you have registered your device with PayPal and linked your fingerprint to the device and to PayPal, you can go shopping.  No stopping to think - just your fingerprint.  This gives impulse shopping a whole new name.  It is an exciting idea.  Not so good for those of us with impulse problems, but, then, that is what returns are for.  Samsung gets my vote every year.
