Holiday Closing

We will be closed on Monday, September 1 for Labor Day.  And, so we do not forget, Labor Day originated on September 5, 1882 (132 years ago) to create a day off of work for working citizens due to their mistreatment by large corporations.  As corporations got larger, the working class was made to work longer days and longer weeks.  This ended in protests and rioting across the nation.  You can thank the unions for this day - the Central Labor Union of New York City created the day.  Grover Cleveland signed it into law.  Enjoy your weekend!  This day is for all of us!

Start Your Car with Your iPhone

Having my phone start my car (especially in winter) would be a boon. I like the Tesla brand.  I can't afford it, but I like how they work and how they look.  So, for now, I just need to have a remote started put on my car (would be a bit cheaper).  But, I think Tesla has a great idea!

ISIS Shames the World

If ISIS believes that we, as Americans, are going to quake before them, they should quit believing their own lies. All they have done is piss off the world, including me. They are animals - pigs. We wrought havoc with Al-Qaeda by hunting them down and killing them off one by one. We can and will do the same to ISIS. What they did with that reporter was wrong before God and Allah. They are as NOTHING to me! Maybe less. They have shamed their own people.

The Wonders of Kentucky

There is so much to do in Kentucky. Wonderful to see that Southern Living agrees.  Mammoth Cave and the Red River Gorge are truly awesome. I need to check out the Cumberland Falls moonbow. I've heard it is a breathtaking site to behold.
