4th of July Hours

This Friday is the 4th of July.  The 238th anniversary of our request for independence from England.  Since that time, we have become the greatest nation on earth.  And, yes, I have visited a few and, yes, there were some restrictions.  Some not so many.  I learned to appreciate freedom of speech, electricity and hot water - not always in that order.

We want our employees to celebrate the 4th with as much joy as possible, so we will not be open this Friday.  We will open on Saturday and Sunday.

For those going out of town, drive carefully.  And, should your phone  get dropped, wet or any other such "illness,"  CellPhone Doctor is here to help.

Free Apps from Amazon

Free stuff:  Amazon is giving away apps through Saturday midnight.  But, please note, I had Splashtop, and they are no longer supporting this app.  Don't download that one.  But, there are a few I'm going for because I have the free version and would like the full version.  So, here goes.

Beam me up, Scottie...

The new Amazon Fire Phone includes Firefly.  Firefly scans and identifies real world objects and can help you see it in 3-D.  Look around the building, on top of the building, etc.  I don't know if it can scan for life forms yet, but maybe next year. :)

Amazon's First Cell Phone

I love Amazon.  Have from its very beginning.  I am curious regarding their new cell phone.  I know my 2 Kindles have been quality items.  The apps I've downloaded have been quality.  It might be time to change my phone service.;)

What Gadgetry is Possible Today?

How much gadgetry in Sci-Fi movies are truly possible today?  They say the mother of invention is necessity.  I'm going to say, the mother of invention is curiosity.  Can it be done?  Can I make it so?

Hate - A 4-Letter Word

Have you seen the amount of hate out there on the internet? Now that a full-time audience is available every day, all day, the hate seems to come out more than any "like." And, it's not just "I hate this" or "I hate that." It's down and dirty hate. It's disgusting hate. People talk about other people with a total lack of respect. You wanted to know where the kids are getting their ideas? I know it's not TV or video games. My kids would be stone cold killers if that were true. The hate is learned from their parents, their parents 2000 "friends," and so on. So, we still teach those we know about hate. And, yes, it is our fault. I don't allow that kind of garbage on my page. If you don't know someone and they have done absolutely nothing to you, then how can you treat them like they are less than you. I don't have 2000 friends, and I don't spew hatred. I have 20 friends, and I like each and every one of them. And, the only person I hated did me some serious wrong. Hate is a 4-letter word and should be treated with caution.

Father's Day Ideas

Father's Day is June 15th.  Instead of "surprising" him with lunch and a card, get him an updated cell phone.  You know what he needs.  Then take a little time and show him the basics.  Great father / child time spent together regardless of age(s).
